Adding some inputs for my data acquisition system. I've tapped into the TPS wire and it appears to have a voltage range from 0.5 to 4 volts, which seems strange to me. I know on the low end that many sensors are 0.5 volts, but would have guessed that the high end was 4.5 or 5 volts. Does anyone know the stated TPS voltage for the 986?

I don't know the official specs, but on my car 80% indicated equals full throttle (checked manually).

Don't know this sensor specifically, but most sensors rarely use the full voltage range. the .5v on the top and bottom allows for manufacturing variance and calibration. Saying that, many position sensors will read the full 5v in my experience.

Is it 4.2v at WOT when engine is running, or with just the key turn on and WOT?

Mine varies between 0.55-3.85v
