One who doesn't ask....
"Can it be driven on the street?"
"What's the least you'll take for it?"
"Any idea why it's taking so long to sell?"

A) I never asked that question. It's obvious that it can't.
B) That's a legitimate question, even if you don't like it. Every negotiation has to start somewhere.
C) Also a legitimate question, since you listed it for sale 4 months ago and don't appear to have had much interest in it.

However, the answer to that last question has become obvious: you aren't actually selling it, you're just playing games to make your wife think you're trying to sell it while you keep driving it. Good luck with that, I'm out.

Bill, I don’t think his reply wasn’t meant to be personal to you. It’s a pain selling a car online and you get a lot of very unreasonable and unrealistic questions from folks that aren’t even interested in the car at market or near market price. Race cars don’t sell overnight without either lots of blind luck or a fire sale price.

So the start of the negotiation is the least he'll take for it? I'd have to agree with PLN on bits of his reply. If someone is truly interested, they'll look it over in person, then make their mind up about what they feel the real value is. Asking price could be a steal or a rip off, or just about right. Hard to say from pictures.....kinda like online dating Don't know him or have a dog in the fight. Just seems like a good lad who likes racing. Pump the brakes....?
