was i the only guy who ran offset in spb?
to me, the increased straight line speed would more than make up for cornering loss on fast tracks. why is everyone running only square setup spb? |

the reaility is it’s the opposite. The additional grip by the wider tire allows more corner speed giving you faster entry on the straights and negating any benefit of the skinner tire. This assumes you can use the additional grip as a driver. fwiw the car was fun and competitive with the offset even at mid ohio (madness) i guess a lot of spb drivers on square aren't using all the grip, and might benefit from the friction reduction on straights from the offset |
