|
Nice build - beautiful ! GLWS!

Make me an offer--tell me what you think it's worth.

I haven't received much interest in the car. Is it the rear fender damage? Do I have to fix the fender before anyone will buy the car?

Bump for the new year. Someone out there must need a professionally-built spec boxster for the coming year.

For the price you are asking -- I would expect the car to be damage free. I think the lack of interest is suggesting the same. Mike |

It also doesnt have race history/results associated with it. This often times can add value to the car if its a known winner. Your car is currently an 'unknown quantity' and as such gets valued strictly on the sum of its parts, not what its potential is.

Still for sale. I now have these documents to help you decide:
1. build spec sheet signed by builder Dan Aspeci at The Speed Gallery. 2. receipts for additional work done. 3. car fax. 4. a pre-purchase inspection from BR Racing in Los Gatos (sponsor of the local PCA racers, has worked on many spec boxsters). 5. two estimates for the body work. One to replace the fender, and one to pull it out and bondo it. 6. California certificate of title with VIN. 7. odometer reading: 97,284. 8. the dyno sheet from MCE Racing (does all the dynos for NASA). See all these documents and photos of the car here. Greg |
Pre-purchase inspection
Here's a summary of the pre-purchase inspection from BR Racing, in case you find it hard to read in the photograph.

New price $20,000
Make me an offer. Car is in the San Francisco Bay Area. Street-legal and licensed in CA. Above-average engine, 20.5 lb wheels.
Listing on Rennlist |
Car is sold.
Staying in the San Francisco Bay Area. Going to an SCCA racer, who will race it in class T3. This class uses the Hoosier R7 tire, so the Spec Boxster is a few seconds/lap faster than with the Toyo RR tires. Also, SCCA minimum weight is 2600 lbs with driver, 50 less than with the PCA. So it should be competitive in T3 against the BMW SpecE46 and the V6 Mustang. |
