Default Front end feels squirrelly...

Today I went to a roll racing event. I'm assuming everyone knows what roll racing is, if you don't it's like drag racing but from a roll. Anyway, I did 3 passes each where I trapped out at 125 mph. Now my question is when I get to the 115-120 mph mark, my steering feels slightly squirrelly like I'm losing front end grip with a slightly shaking steering wheel. What can I do to prevent this? Alignment? Ruf front bumper? My current suspension setup is kw variant 3, target front drop links, 15 mm spacers all around and torque solutions rear control arms. Tire pressure registered Oem spec with oem tire size.

I just had a 4 wheel alignment done and has transformed the car. I had no idea the specs were so far out as i thought it tracked fine. Toe was 1/2" out in front and caster/camber was off on all 4 wheels. Best 100$ ever spent

Default 997 19" Wheels

I have 19" 997 Wheels on my 996 TT and I get the same feeling at 125+ mph. I'm assuming there are different settings for a car with 19" wheels that came with 18" wheels?

Cheers

I run 19's as well get an alignment. The hunter system takes into account wheel size and will x reference the existing 996 stock values.

First step is alignment, past that I'd look at the rake of the car. May very well and producing front lift. A small change in rake can provide a big difference in front downforce at speeds.

i never thought of the rake of the car. It's pretty level. Do you think the back should get raised a tiny bit?

Thabsk everyone for the suggestions.

Don't forget the engine is behind the rear tires. It's not uncommon for the car to feel light up front at speed.

These cars get light in the front at around 120, then seem to settle down above that. You can try a different front lip arrangement and go for a full tank!

Where did you get an alignment on this car for $100. If you track you really need a corner balance alignmemt, never saw one for less than $250

Definitely get a corner balance and alignment - go to bodymotion in Ocean and then bring it to NJMP

my idea of tracking and most others are vastly different. firestone aligned the car. as for corner balance once the car is fully finished ill decide then. doesnt make a huge difference for 1/4 mile and 1/2 mile drags
