911R Front Bumper On GTS
Just completed a conversion project where I installed the 911R (GT3) front bumper on my 2016 GTS. As another post indicated, the most challenging part of the conversion was modifying the radiator ducts. Also installing brackets for the parking sensors. Porsche doesn't sell them separate from bumpers but I found that VW does! Had to replace the front wheel well liners and then everything connected and bolted up at all factory locations. Used all Porsche OEM parts. Also removed the rear seats and installed the rear seat delete parts.
Everything turned out great but neither conversion is for the faint of heart..... Porsche is very proud ($$) of their parts!

991.2 GT3 is an all new designed bumper.

I've always romanced this idea but thought it wouldn't accommodate the parking sensors. Would love to see more info on how you did this.
What do you plan for the rear? I think the rear wing is considered necessary unless you're getting the 911R rear bumper diffuser which is $$$$

If you look at Pics the R is the same as a 991.1 GT3 bumper. The 991.2 looks a lot more updated.
Conjecture - I actually don't like the 991.2 bumper outside of the fog light design compared to the NA car but Absolutely love the new GT3 bumper.

Thanks for the kind comments. I will try and answer the questions as simply as possible.
Total cost of parts was about $9000.00. Paint and final fitment at my local Porsche approved bodyshop was $1700.00
I found the parking sensor brackets at ecstuning.com. Part number ES#347101. They are plastic and get plastic fused to the bumper. Drilling the holes requires a BMW tool that any approved BMW bodyshop will have. Needed to ensure a factory fit of the sensors.
I am not changing anything on the rear. I have the duck tail which I am happy with. I know not all will agree.
I believe the 991.2 interior is the same as the 991.1 and the rear seat delete should work. But I have not looked closely at the 991.2 so I am not an authority on the subject.
The yellow tie down straps and brackets are all hand made. I removed the rear child tie down brackets, cut out the center bar, welded in flat steel plate and tapped for a bolt. Then had flat cover plates cut to cover. Also had to fabricate the front brackets that sit under the rear delete seat trim. I don't have any photos of the front.
