Default New Owner - Need assistance with the Instrument Cluster

Good morning. I can use some help here. New owner of a 17 4S. This AM my instrument cluster lights would not come on. I've attached two photos (1) of the instrument cluster and (2) of the PCM screen setting at the same time.

Has anyone had similar issues/know of a fix within the various screen settings?

I'm not sure how you restart the instrument cluster, but you could try restarting the center stack. Press and hold the volume wheel in the center stack until the screen and center console buttons go out and come back on their own. everything will reboot in sequence.

Another possible clue: your screen brightness offset is set to 5. In my car, that setting is zero. Note that the setting is not for absolute brightness, but for OFFSET. 5 is the maximum offset in the scale, and it might represent a dark display. Good luck and let us know what happens.

Hi guys. Thanks for your suggestions and assistance. I brought it in to the dealer and they are replacing the instrument cluster. Not a great outcome, but hopefully that it'll be the end of the issue.

Let me know if you guys want to see exterior photos of the Pana or my others (89 Speedster, 65 VW Bug or 16 GT3 RS)? All of these guys have working dashboards, although it takes effort and a downhill to get the VW dash moving!!

I hate when that happened to a brand new car.

Hope they fix it soon. In the meantime, pics of your other cars would be good! :-)

Thanks WC. The dealer called to let me know the new instrument cluster should be in by end of this week, so hopefully I'll be driving the pano soon.

Here's the pano (prior to outage)

Here's the GT3 RS getting loaded for a road trip

Here's the Speedster at delivery time

Here's the kids posing for a holiday card on the Beetle (failure).....
