PTS worth it for .2 GT3?
Hi guys,
New member here. Currently own a 2015 GT3 in GR, and working on my 991.2 build.
I have it specced in GR now, but still on the fence between that, GT Silver or Chalk.
The dealer just informed me that they can do PTS for my car. So for those of you that have had PTS GT3s, is it worth the 7k or so? How would something like Voodoo Blue do at resale -- do you tend to recover the option cost?
Obviously the more unique the color, the less potential buyers there are out there, but at the same time it makes the car more rare/desirable to those who want that specific color. I personally don't have experience with PTS or special colors though, so wanted to get some insight.
Thanks!

If you like the special color I would go for it. Resale is always hard to predict. In 10 years there might not be any love for a bright blue car. In 30 years it might be back in fashion again.
Read up on old 993pts threads.
Very interesting how color comes and goes.

If you're thinking resale, you need to do a PTS color that doesn't resemble a color thats immediately available, and that not too many people have done as it's become trendy. Voodoo blue got rather popular over the 991 range, but will still probably be worth a little bit more at the end of the day. And now because of Chalk, I'm thinking fashion may take a little bit of a hit because in the day they are pretty similar. Otherwise, it's worth it if you want to wait for the extra time (varies greatly depending) and really want to find something unique (and also possibly pair it with interior CXX leathers and stitching).
If I was PTS ordering for 991.2 GT3...I'd probably be looking at Slate grey, Grey/black or grigio telesto...there aren't any dark greys available for these cars anymore and they continue to be really hot.

I'd ignore resale other than knowing with confidence that it will hold it's value at very worst. You'll get your money back out of it for sure. If you really have a chance to get a PTS GT3 I'd HIGHLY recommend taking that opportunity.

Definitely impossible to predict trends, but I guess the idea is that it will be more unique in any case. The thing is uniqueness and desirability don't always go hand in hand.

Get a color YOU want...not something the rest of the community wants to see. The really special cars are the ones the owners specs to his/her liking.
Ive always loved blue sports cars, hence my choice for voodoo.

Would be worth it to me, but I don't even think about resale when I buy a car.
Voodoo, Gulf Orange or Blue, Signal Yellow... I'd pay 7k to get my car in one of those colors.
