Default OT: Giulia Quadrifoglio 7:32 at Ring

Sorry for the OT but if you are looking for a serious 4 door sedan, you should start to consider this car. Of course is too early to speak about reliability, but finally let me show you the first official video, not regarding the rumored 7:39 lap time Ring but the new record got with the optional automatic transmission...
7:32 sounds crazy...(sure with the right tires) ...Btw enjoy:

This car looks great and drives great as per the video but do I really want to be a beta tester for the next 2 years again as I did with the GT3...hummmm ALFA is not PORSCHE so how the fix will work?

Great driver! The car is squealing and all over the place.

Harris has had it for awhile and is getting pretty damn fond of it...

Funny thing about Alfa in the states, a year before the 4C came out I contacted everybody in their brother from Alfa USA and even a local dealer to say get ahold of me as soon as I can buy the car..

They never called, so there is that..

Great driver and he was taking the car beyond its limits. It seems like the time ended a few hundred meters from the start finish line.

My local dealer is slowly switching the environment from Fiat to Alfa Romeo in anticipation of the ARGQ. I believe they will come to US with a fairly competitive price, which should increase the pressure on M3/M4. I don't know how reliable they will be, but if the price is right maybe worth taking the risk? I don't see many new C63s these days, but this new sedan might eat some of their market share as well. I will get a call when this car arrives and will stop by for a test drive ( at this point just out of curiosity, but who knows?).

To compete with the Germans and Swedes, they need to offer a discount for European (Milan?) delivery.

same exact experience here in the SF Alfa dealer when the 4c was imminent.. called them and visited and they literally laughed.. meaning there were 2-3 sales guys just hanging around and when i asked about the 4c they said something smug like "get in line, call us again when you hear about it landing in the US".. now they can't get rid of them for a discount. that's actually when i joined rennlist and got into modern porsches (should never have left after multiple 356's ;-D).

I think the Giulia could take away market share not just from sedans, but also gearheads who want something really unique and beautiful, and would buy this instead of a sports car.

7:32 is faster than a Koenigsegg around the ring.. that's deadly serious. and the Giulia is deadly beautiful

I don't care how good the car is, or how well it drives.

With a name like "Giulia Quadrifoglio" it's going to be a hard sell. Just human nature.

All Over the place is right but he's flying. Kudos, can't wait. I had a Milano QF for a few years a long time ago and it still is one of my favorite cars of all time. Sweetest motor. I have to have one.
