This weekend I drove from my home in Durham, to Charlotte. I visited and celebrated the New Year with my girl-friend, her sister, and brother-in-law. Good times were had by all.

I did see a red 968 in the parking lot near the IHOP, where we had brunch on Sat.

I actually just got home. 360+ miles round trip. The 968 really is a great car!

Thought about taking the cup 1's off for another refinish but that's as far as it got. I did them when I got the car and I am convinced I can do a much better job this time.

Going to stop procrastinating and put the rebuild kits into the calipers, put the calipers back on, and drive the **** out of it, just the way she likes

Removed my rear spoiler over the weekend to get it painted in body color (grand prix white). And I got my rebuild Supercharger kit back from 928 Motorsport just before Christmas (I bought the kit used from a fellow RL'er). I have plans to install it some time in the spring when the weather is better (I have no garage)...

I just realized I missed the part about "plans... for... this year?"

I've got big plans: Replace or reupholster the front seats, new tires, and fix a small oil leak (around the oil filter). I'm going to try to get it to a glass shop to see about fixing the laminate around the rear window, also.

I'm doing some minor cleanup/fixes to the SY coupe, doesn't need much. Right now I'm replacing the stone guards. I'm also working on my mods. I have 4 "factory, easily reversable mods" planned for the the SY coupe. You'll see those in the spring.

Give Jeff a run at some of the events. It will be a tag team effort from both my cars .
All jokes aside, drive my 968's more often.

Rebuild the race car, moving parts from the wrecked one to the new race car. Just pulled out the trans this weekend. But have a long way to go before I'm back on the track.

Over the holidays I got the sunroof re-installed after replacing all of the broken/cracked parts. Got the left side door handle completely replaced. Fortunately for me that Lindsey Racing in the city had all the parts that I needed except for the pin that holds the linkage to the outer door handle. It all comes apart pretty easy but was a bastard trying to snap the plastic end of the linkage lever onto the lever with the ball end.
I wound up wrapping teflon tape on the threads of the linkage lever to make the plastic end less prone to moving around while trying to snap it onto the ball end. It helped.

Like JDS mentioned, I need to do my brake calipers. I have new wheel bearings to do at that time also. Oil pan gasket is leaking. That will be fun. Since I don't have a lift in the garage makes it even more fun.
Then there is getting the hatch glass re-set. For me that is a job best left to the professionals. From what I gather, the hatch glass is scarce and very expensive.

actually Doug reminded me, my passenger side door stopped opening on the outside... seriously, these cars have the WORST door handle mechanisms...
