Not trying to offend.... but I'll give you $600 for them if they are just collecting dust and getting rusty....

If not I understand.

Doesn't hurt to ask. Or does it? Tell me why I cant just do what I did? Or just mind your own business.

I don't want to be part of an argument, but I agree on older posts like this one a PM would be best. It's likely a sold item and new questions about it clogs the board. Many of us do a quick look at the for sale section frequently eying new items for sale. I looked at this one for that reason not suspecting it was a year old. I assume the item is long gone. If super interested I would have sent a PM for the reason stated above.

I will not take sides as to whether is right or not to drudge up a dead thread. I frankly don't care. However, since it has resurfaced, I figured I would answer this unanswered question.

No, 996 GT3 brakes are not the same as 996 Turbo brakes. Turbo front calipers are 4 piston, whereas GT3 are 6 piston.

996 GT3 calipers are basically 996 GT2 calipers that have been painted red. They are also nearly identical to 997 Turbo calipers, with the exception that 996 GT3 pistons have small insulators on each piston to help keep pad heat out of the caliper.

Longer caliper bolts, and a 997 Turbo rotor are needed to install GT3 calipers on the front of a 996 Turbo.

Thank you! So now that I've drudges up this old thread, we've all learned something new. The Porsche guys work in mysterious ways.
And maybe it should be a rule that once an item is sold, it have the subject line updated as such. Or be deleted completely. Sorry to have wasted a click!

When you say a 997 turbo caliper is the same as a 996 gt3 caliper are you positive that that is the only two differences? Color and the insulation? reason being, that could help broaden my search.
