Default New project: Zuffenhunt - Porsche parts aggregator

Hey all, I wanted to share a project that I've been working on for a while. The idea is simple: we're all constantly searching for parts for our cars. And nothing exists today that aggregates all the options for us into one place. I got tired of Google and AI prioritizing the stuff that makes them the most money.

So I created Zuffenhunt. Think of it like Kayak for Porsche Parts. Zuffenhausen + parts hunting.... you get it.

This is very much a test and a project. I've got a handful of vendors that I've chosen based on just where I typically look for parts. I'm still trying to see if this is something that would be useful for folks. So please, GIVE ME YOUR FEEDBACK. Also, if there are specialty vendors that offer parts just for your gen model, let me know. A great example is 928 owners, for which I've added custom functionality to search a few extra vendors.

I want to know what works, what doesn't. Is this actually useful to you? Drop a note below or in the poll above for what you want to see next!

I think it’s very important to use genuine Porsche parts for certain components, which often can’t be sourced directly from the manufacturer – I’m thinking of header tanks, AOS units and water pumps. That’s actually the most important thing.

A great idea!

No specific feature requests from here.

In terms of evolving the capability, I searched for a coolant expansion tank for my 03 Boxster. It returned a bunch of options, but did not show any available from FCP Euro (although that was a listed vendor on the left side of the screen). Looking directly at their site, they have genuine Porsche, Uro and Febi listed as possibilities.

Not sure how you are scraping data (I can barely spell “scraping data”!), but figured you might want to know.

Regards,
TC

Thanks so much for catching that! You actually found a bug that I hadn't caught. Just pushed a fix and everything should be pulling from FCP and the other vendors. Thanks!

Fantastic Idea. It usually takes more time to find the parts and shop price then to actually do the work. I just tried it out and I am impressed. Nice Job!

Are you sure you pushed to your production server? I still see the same behavior.
