I don't remember it being too complicated. I did it with wheels off when I yanked the engine. 4 bolts if I remember. I would support the suspension a bit just so it doesn't hang if you're leaving the wheels on.
I don't remember that happening. I did have the axles out of the diff, so it probably would have been even easier to move around. Everything except the wheels was still attached to the knuckle.
The only reference I have found so far was in the Engine R&I doc:
Remove the rear cross member -C- . Screw off four fastening nuts -arrows (C)- and counter at the screws
while doing so. Pull out lower screws and remove bracket, then take out the upper screws. U-profiles are
used for the threaded joints on the bracket to make disassembly/assembly easier.
One last piece of advice, I used a paint pen and marked around the bolts where I could. I don't remember if it has any room for adjustments, but I thought the paint marks would help (mark each bolt 1 - 4). I did not, but you could always paint reference lines (or highlight existing ones) on the beam and the surrounding metal. Since I didn't do any heavy cleaning there, I think I just used the marks left.
