Default Key fob windows down

My 2020 992.1 was able to roll the windows down while holding the unlock button. My 2024 992.2 base carerra doesn’t. Am I missing something?

I presume you have it set in Vehicle Settings? If the option isn't available, I believe it can be coded with PIWIS

unfortunately, not an option that I can see in vehicle settings. To get it coded will the dealer do it and would I be charged for it?

Dealer will not do it.
You're able to program it with PIWIS.

Dealer can’t / won’t mod anything that’s non-standard for the country the car is coded for. Where do you live?

I’m in the US so looks like I’m SOL. so weird how all other manufacturers have this option except Porsche.

Blame the tort lawyers in the US . That feature is available in most Porches in the rest of the world.

To clarify, it’s not impossible to code it on your car, but highly inconvenient on .2 models because of the way they are locked down. @rnlst_log can certainly do it remotely but it won’t be cheap.

An almost 30 year old car's software/firmware configuration has no bearing with regard to current state/federal/country laws/regulations.

This is available on my .2 in the UK.
It is in the vehicle settings from the home page rather than car settings.
Go to home, settings, car, vehicle locking system, ventilate vehicle with unlock.

Go to your local Honda dealer, they have it on all the new cars.

This is a Porsche issue.

Let me guess… you’re a tort lawyer.

As Porsche tells us in trainings.
If it sucks on our cars, we either got sued over it, or the government makes us do it.
Always found that funny.
