Default Will my battery be ok if left unattended for a month, possibly a bit longer?

Hello o/

I'm going on a work trip soon and will be away for a month maybe a month and a half. I have a 992.1 GTS with the lifepo4 battery and because I live in an apartment building I have no way to setup a trickle charger while I'm away. I have a friend I trust but he's nervous about taking the car for a long drive on the highway and will just take it up and down the street upto 50ish km/h. So my question is will doing this once a week be enough to keep the battery maintained? I'm open to other suggestions

A short drive is worse than nothing at all, both for the engine and the battery. Can your friend find someplace he/she is comfortable driving for 20 minutes or so a week? Is the car outside? There are solar trickle chargers out there. One month will probably not kill the battery completely if these aren't options, but I would go for a good drive or just get the battery fully charged when you get home.

You can disconnect the negative terminal on the battery. Without the parasitic drain, your battery should be fine for a month. You might get random warning lights when restarting it, but they'll go away quickly.

EDIT: Forgot to add that you should leave the frunk unlatched.

Based on my experience, and just my own, a month and a half is right on the borderline. I once left my car (with a LiFePO battery) unattended for five weeks and was still able to start it, though the engine struggled a bit for a few second when turning over. The following year, I left it for eight weeks, and the battery was completely dead. I had to go through the whole process: manually unlocking the door, opening the hood, and jump-starting the car, which was pretty hectic. After that, I bought a trickle charger...

That said, some people here report having issues after just two weeks of leaving their car unattended.

I’m not sure if driving it once a week locally is enough, but driving it twice a week locally, half hour each time, is what I do now, and I haven’t had any battery issues.

Disable interior monitoring and comfort access and it should last a month without touching it

The OP lives in an apartment, a trickle charger isn't his practical option

Maybe have your friend drive the car with you in it to increase their confidence? To really charge the battery you want to drive on the highway for closer to an hour.

Secondly, what the heck is that red car behind you???

The car is indoors in an underground parking. I hesitate to ask my friend to drive the car in a way he isn't comfortable as I think that would be unfair to him and possibly risky for me Incase he hits the car on a curb or something

That's a good idea. Maybe all they need is a few hours behind the wheel to feel more confident. And the red car is a Peugeot RCZ, it's a pretty fun sporty car. Shame it's no longer made

If I understand right I press the lock button on the remote twice to disable it? And this will last a month and a half worst case scenario?

I considered that but isn't charge and voltage 2 separate things and won't this drop the voltage even if the battery still maintains a charge? I'm not an expert with electricals but I was reading up on what my options are and someone on Reddit mentioned that the voltage gradually dropping will damage the battery if this is done. Appreciate any advice you might have on this

Or just purchase the CTEK sans the purely Porsche marketing (labeling) and save some money.

BTW, If one was to perform a search they would discover that this exact topic has been discussed multiple times.
