Toronto new 992.2 4s insurance or broker recommendation?
Dear all,
Does anyone have a good recommendation for an insurance company or broker for a new 992.2 4s?
Dad is primary driver, clean record 75 years old, been driving for 40 years.
A lot of companies would not insure the car or i am getting quotes for like $8000+ annually. It would be great if someone in the GTA/north york
area can give us some advice; would be immensely appreciated!

Wow that is steep.
I pay less than $3k a year for the GT3.
And quiet a few years less driving experience..
Not sure how it is there, but TD insurance has always been easy out this way.
I found the choices very limited on anything insured for more than $250K. Found Hagerty to be the most reasonable. Under $250K lots of choice.
^^^ This! I really hope there is more competition in this realm at some point. Makes it worse when the car is deemed "too new" to be in the " classic or special interest" vehicle classification.

.
Interesting.
I found Hagerty to be one of the worst choices.
Unfortuneately, Hagerty would not do my father because he does not have 3 previous years of driving a similar car with max speed 300km/hr+...they quoted us for around $5.5k
Aside from those i tried already...only other options so far are:
1. Porsche Insurance by Aon
2. TD
3. Gore Mutual
Thanks if any other recommendations would be great!..Already tried CAA, economical, intact, humberview..not very good results

Unfortunately, old age is very similar to young age for insurance. It's a 200k + car, so it is a risk for them to ensure. It's also very hard to even rent a car now if you are 75 or older.
But in the end, if it makes your dad happy, just pay the price and enjoy life.

I just went through the same thing with Hagarty.. They wanted 3 years of owning this car prior, or a car with 500+ hp. I've had others that range from 480 to 2 vehicles of 505HP and gave them those but they did not qualify in their "supercar" catagory that the GT3 is in. Odd experience. i'm still looking around.
LOL I just got registered mail today from RBC/Aviva, dropping my whole policy because of my daughter's 2 accidents. Waiting for a call back as I told them I am pulling everything from RBC. ***-holes. Was planning on her moving to high risk and then just signing a waiver that she won't drive our cars. Bunch of **** suckers.
