After selling the CGTS 4.0 last year I didn't plan on another 718 but I saw this T for sale last week and couldn't resist. 2022 718T, shark blue, MT., CPO with just over 4200 miles. I'm still waiting for the shipping date but it should be delivered in the next week or two.
I haven't driven it yet. Hopefully it will be delivered this week. I'm hoping it drives similar to my previous 993 but with a little more HP and Torque.
I know it won't sound as good as the NA 4.0L but should be a great driver.
Since they are both 718s, the experience is similar. Within that similarity:
The T is a bit lighter than the 4.0.
SPASM is standard on T. The typical 4.0 might have been optioned with (only) PASM.
The T is "playfull." You can use more of its capabilities more of the time than with a 4.0. The 4.0 is a more "deliberate" and "serious" experience.
These opinions generated with 6-speed 718s. PDK? Dunno. Have only driven base 2.0 and 2.5 GTS PDKs.
The SportTex (NOT RaceTex/Alcantara/Mouse Fur) seats and interior of the T, especially with one of the three optioned-up interiors, is unique.
(I cross-shopped Ts and 4.0s. The T won, by a slight margin. It's my 'round town, parts-getter, winter driver. The playful character makes it very fun in that application. Other Porsches in the garage are available for "serious" and "deliberate" application requirements.)

It will not at all be similar to any 911 and especially any air-cooled 911. Certainly in terms of dynamics. In terms of experience, the T model is - IMO - the "rawest" (or perhaps "crudest") experience of any of the modern 9[89]1 and 718 variants. The 991.1S is a close second.
I always struggle to imagine the circumstances that lead a PO to buy a Porsche, seldom drive it, and then trade it back to the dealer for another, newer Porsche they won't drive.
My '21 T also had been kept indoors most of its life... until I got my hands on it. Now past 61K miles.
Car was delivered on Monday. I haven't been able to register it yet so I've only driven it as far as the garage. It was louder than I expected but it's in great shape. It's blue. haha The non metallic is going to be fun to keep up with.
