Looking for information on these New Old Stock 2015 Carrera Cup Team wear
Hello from Sweden!
I apologize if I posted this in the wrong forum, chatGTP advised me that you guys would probably be most knowledgeable about my "salvation army" find.
From what I can find out, these are new old stock, unused with stickers: 2 softshell jackets, one vest , and one padded jacket. All 2XL. Are these rare? I can't really find any similar online.
I emailed the Swedish Carrera Cup facebook group admin but no reply.
Rare as a result of the Cup series identified, but not rare as base Porsche "ware" The jacket pattern looks to be the common Porsche "merch" design from recent past years, available at most dealers and online. The white/black/red combination changes from year to year, but has been a common motorsports / marketing theme for Porsche for the past years. The Cup patch for a specific Cup series does make it rare, but not particular valuable outside of that region I would think. Would be surprised that a 2XL was from an actual Cup driver, more Crew or retail.
These were from the regional Carrera Cup series like Carrera Cup North America, and Carrera Cup Italian, etc. as mentioned before these were Porsche merch sold at the events and dealers standard Porsche wear with a Carrera Cup patch, now if it was the Supercup series jacket or one from the short lived Indy car program that would be even more interesting 😀

From what I could find Porsche changed sponsor from Adidas to Boss the year after, going from the classic red/white "racing look" to a more somber black. For a 2XL Porsche entusiast who favor the classic Adidas look it is impossible to order a New jacket from Adidas as they are no longer a sponsor. That's why I figured that these new with tags jackets would be fairly unique.
As I exclusively drive old POS cars myself, I figured a jacket flip could net me some money for bills and perhaps even a beer. Until then, the jackets hang on display on my wall and are a Neverending source of conversation for my wife. Not so much how great they are, but more about how they take up space and are a cumbersome annoyance in our tiny home. 😅
