Default New Project: Zuffenhunt - Porsche Parts Aggregator

Hey all, I wanted to share a project that I’ve been working on for a while. The idea is simple: we’re all constantly searching for parts for our cars. And nothing exists today that aggregates all the options for us into one place.

Google prioritizes their algorithms and AI Agents can’t scrub many sites due to restrictions.

So I created Zuffenhunt. Think of it like Kayak for Porsche Parts. Zuffenhausen + parts hunting.... you get it.

This is very much a test and a project. I’ve got a handful of vendors that I’ve chosen based on just where I typically look at for parts. I’m still trying to see if this is something that would be useful for folks. So please, GIVE ME YOUR FEEDBACK.

I want to know what works, what doesn’t. Is this actually useful to you?

Gave it a quick glance and a simple search. Pretty cool.
Will that update as vendor's websites / stocks update or this was one-time only read their content and put into your search engine?

in Europe I also use:
parts-wise.com
partworks.de
rosepassion.com

No affiliation here.

Very cool idea, though I agree it could use more sources.
Yeah, even here in the US, I use rosepassion pretty often, though they are not very clear on whether the parts are OE or OEM or other. I also use Delaware Porsche - which tends to be the best prices on OE parts. Those are probably the sites I order from the most, so it'd be cool to see those sites aggregated in.

If you can interface to it, I'd add into the mix Rockauto (broker) for comparison pricing at least on the maintenance basics.

Yep! The results are pretty much live. So as their stock and prices update, so will the results. The goal in the future is also to give people the ability to set up price drop alerts and create “wishlists” of parts you’re looking for and get alerted when a site has it back in stock or someone is selling it on a marketplace.

Thanks for the EU links. I’m currently in the process of adding an entire EU section that will allow you to choose US vs EU vendors.

Thanks for this one! I’ll dig into how easy it is to integrate them.

Thanks Cosmos, yeah I’ve wanted to add Delaware for a while. The issue is that their site is blocked from any kind of crawling. The hope is to build up enough traffic and then reach out to them directly.

I like the idea but I got mixed results. I tried some of my favorite searches with mixed success ... Rear Center Relector vs 99363114000 vs Rear light combo cover.

After a few tries and changing the search slightly I was able to find several results.

I think we all have our favorite vendors and I agree, I would like to see some more vendors ... Sunset Porsche, Paragon.

Good Luck ... I will try it when I am searching for parts.

This is great feedback Kiwi, thank you. Its exactly what I need to make the results engine better. Any chance you can give me more detail about which ones gave you better results versus worse? This helps a ton. I'm also going to check out the two vendors you mentioned.

Hi FlattestSix,
Rock Auto is a low-price supplier. Can it be added?
https://www.rockauto.com/
They seem to be the best place for brake pads, rotors, wheel sensors etc.

There used to be a page like this. Jeff from "Home Built by Jeff" made a Porsche Parts by Jeff page that aggregated, searched and filtered.

He stopped maintaining it, and the site is no longer up.

Thanks for creating it and sharing with the community.

I am guessing you "tweaked" the site just a bit ... this is an ambitious effort, It works pretty good considering you are trying to "herd cats" with so many different sources.

When I use "Rear Center reflector" I get the most results ... mostly eBay and DC Auto
When I use "99363114000" ... DC Auto and ECS Tuning ... fewer results
When I use "993 631 140 00" ... similar to above but add Design 911

None of these searches return Pelican Parts as a source. If I search PP individually all three will return something. The part number works best.

Sunset Porsche appears to be the best price for new and is not on your list ... that is for this part. It isn't always the case.

I hope this helps ... and thanks for working on it.

This is awesome feedback @Kiwi01 Thanks so much!! It's exactly the kind of stuff that I can use to improve the search engine and have it learn. Will make tweaks to reflect this. Please send me more issues like this guys if you run into them!

Hey @Kiwi01 - Thanks again for catching those bugs. I ran through some updates last night and that should all be working better now. The biggest issue really is that the OEM name for that part is not "rear center reflector" but rather everything from "rear center light assembly" to "Porsche Tail Light Lens." So the search engine has a hard time normalizing all of that. I've got it to a better state, but its a common issue that many other engines run into with this. I'm going to keep working on this though cause these the kinds of things that would be great to fix.
