How much am I going to loose on a Spyder RS?
I've never bought a Porsche over MSRP, but the Spyder RS is something else (to me). I have the opportunity to pay a $20k ADM, but I'm curious what you all think of the depreciation curve.
Probably, over the next year or two the ADM will get washed, but do you imagine the Spyder RS will keep it's value pretty well?

Is the BGTS too powerful now?
Buying a new Porsche and paying ADM while being worried about depreciation seems a bit conflicted?
Unless of course you think that you will be able to drive it for a year or two and sell it for MSRP plus $20k?

If you drive it you wont lose anything. Just like spending money on a honda. If you dont drive it youre losing on the experience. Also if you keep it long enough you likely wont lose anything

Porsche is basically done building ICE mid-engines after the Spyder RS (even the 918 Spyder was a hybrid as a supercar), it’s the one and only Boxster/Cayman model to carry the RS moniker. So long term there is 0 chance you will lose any money, it’s only a matter of how long you intend to keep the car. $20k markup is acceptable in this market if you won’t decide to flip it in a year.

Been hearing that for years, in the meanwhile, their PR claims to justify current ICE prices, don't seem to hold - https://www.carscoops.com/2024/10/po...ead__container
ICE is dying globally, so unless using petroleum gets banned, these cars will be something to be desired in the future. Most brands have screwed up their halo cars adding too much weight, making them too comfortable and electronic. Porsche still offers drivers cars, albeit at a premium, that may not go on for forever with global regulations.
