Is it me or are 981S really holding their value compared to 718S?

Is it me or are 981S really holding their value compared to 718S?
On a whim I started looking at the pricing for a 981 GTS (have a 2013 Boxster S) which led me down the rabbit hole of all 981s and 718s. One thing that I quickly noticed (on Autotrader) is that the 981S' are really holding their value of $45k to $60K compared to the 718S' which are selling for similar amounts with lesser miles. It could be sellers' pipe dreams, but across the board a 4 to 5 year older 718S (2013 vs 2017/2018) is selling for the same amount and they have less miles.
I am not trying to start anything, just an observation.

I’d be willing to bet it comes down to the engine.
The 4 cyl sounds decent and has great daily driver power, but just isn’t a flat 6.
I was close to getting one but decided my first Porsche needs to be a flat 6, so 981 S it was.

Based on the people asking gt4 prices for 981 GTSes, I'd say it's a little bit of column a, little bit of column b. Some "sellers" definitely still think it's 2021-22, but the four cylinder cars definitely don't have as wide of an appeal as the six cylinder cars do. 718 gt4s are holding their value pretty well as are, I believe, the gts4.0s.
