Help finding HVAC control part
I’m having issues with my HVAC where it just keeps getting colder and colder in the car on longer drives. I’ll set the control at 22 in auto but the car just keeps getting colder with the only way to get it to stop blowing cold air is to set the temp all the way up.
I’ve read that the culprit can be the interior cabin temperature sensor located by the centre speaker on the top of the dash (part 997 653 251 00).
However I’ve also read that the fan on top of the HVAC control unit can also fail. The fan sits behind the 4 slots between the Recirc and Eco buttons. I’ve tried PowerSong on the unit to see if the fan spins and regardless of HVAC setting, the fan doesn’t come on. As a result I’m trying to see if I can source a replacement fan without having to replace the whole HVAC unit.
So 2 questions:
1) would any wiring gurus know if the interior temp sensor triggers this fan to come on, or vice versa or how else to test the fan?
2) any ideas on where to source a replacement fan (Papst 934 1706 004)?
