time to replace based on age or nah?

would get some new Cup 2's in non porsche spec or some Cup2R's this is for a street driven gt3 that sees canyons regularly and is stock and driven 2-3k miles per year, current cup2's have about 6k miles on them and came with the car when i bought it last year

6 year old Cups are not their best. Good opportunity for some track days or other hooliganism to burn them up quickly and replace.

Some say 8 years is the time out period, but I get rid of tires after 6 max. I assume by Canyon run, you mean spirited driving? In a GT3, that can be easy to break away? With tires that are on the soft side to begin with, meaning they have a tendency to evaporate the softeners faster than most.
I think these are good tires to park the car on over Winter if you have an extra set of wheels. Otherwise I'd get new tires.
