How to adjust headlamp aim?
Anyone have headlamp aim adjustment instructions for the 992 handy? Hoping it's like the 991 and you don't need a scan tool to raise the aim. It's ridiculously low from the factory.
Thanks! Cheers,
Andi

Interesting - I have thought mine were too low also but figured that was the way it was supposed to be since it was fresh from the factory. Is misaligned headlights from the factory a thing ? Guess I should have the dealer check/adjust mine.

I’d rather see more of the road. I'm careful to not adjust too high and blind other drivers.

Update: the headlamps are still manually adjustable in the 992, they just moved where/how you get to the adjuster. Instead of going behind the toolbox accessible from the frunk like in the 991, now you have to pull back the long plastic shrouds above the frunk and find the 6mm allen adjusters (the ones closer to the back of the car are the up/down adjusters).

PSA: for those of you with LED matrix headlamps that have been activated to enable full active matrix functionality, manually eyeballing / adjusting the horizontal / vertical aim is *not recommended*. Doing so may impact the accuracy of the active matrix behavior. This is a ‘dealer only’ operation and requires special VAG optical calibration cameras.
OTOH non-matrix units have more leeway for adjustment as long as it’s done in very small increments.

That’s all fine grained tuning of the actuators, but they only have so much room to move, so if you go outside of that range things get wonky.

Probably best to do it facing your garage door. Apply painters tape on the top cut off line of stock low beams then adjust incrementally higher to achieve your desired height. At least you have a reference point to revert back to.

Very clever! If only you'd posted that 6 minutes ago when I started vs now that I'm wondering just how much higher I raised them... 🤣
