Default 2024 Cayenne Turbo e-hybrid stuck in port

Question for anyone who is in similar boat. We have ordered 2024 Cayenne Turbo e-hybrid (put name on the list in Sept 2023) and got a build slot for March 2024. Car was in Benicia (CA) port on May 28th and been stuck there since. Talked to dealer and apparently it is due to CARB (California Air Resource Board) waiting for certification to complete as Washington (final destination) is CARB state too..

Anyone has any info or how long that should take? It has been a month and half and currently we have no ETA. Porsche app is pushing out delivery everytime we hit new estimate date. Kind of frustrating.

Yes this has been an issues since late April/May....fortunately Porsche did release hybrid cars for non-CARB state buyers which made sense but no one has any idea WTF CARB is doing here as the car seems to have been cleared by EPA across the 50 states as well as non-hybrid 2024 vehicles cleared across the board for CARB and EPA. Even Canada has cleared both models and owners have taken delivery now of hybrid and Turbo hybrids vehicles there also at this point. No good answers here...

It’s crazy, mine has been at the port for 3 months. Can’t wait to see the water spots on this car baking in the salt air.

Default 3 months at Benicia port

Ours has been on CARB hold in Benicia since April 23.

The secrecy around what’s holding things up rivals the Manhattan Project…

Moreover, the Base and S E-Hybrid 2024 models have been cleared by CARB and EPA. Only the Turbo E-Hybrid is left in the lineup.

Hope it is not far behind. Were Base and S e-hybrid cleared for CARB recently or weeks back? Just trying to figure out how long the process takes.

I think it is California trying to replicate European useless regulations. Just adding more government officials doing some useless certifications that no-one needs or wants.

My Porsche app still shows 7/19-7/20 delivery.

Turbo E-hybrid in Benicia port since 4/23 — almost 3 months.

I wonder if it’s possible they will NEVER approve these models — perhaps due to “excessive horsepower”? 😉

I hope those dates are true, but unfortunately that does not look like the case. Just got email from CARB with their boilerplate reply:

Hoping to be able to check on the CARB status myself.
