Anyone miss ventilated seats?
It's been hot everywhere even in NH. I used to drive a 1994 Miata with no AC in the summers when I was a young man. My Boxster doesn't have ventilated seats but I drive topless anyways with a bottle of cold water. Comfortable with the AC on, windows up, a cap and all that, but it does get quite toasty. Getting spoilt with old age no doubt and modern conveniences. Never thought that I would miss having a fan to cool my butt and back. I do cycle in the heat which is actually more comfortable.

i didnt spec it in my Boxster and i'll guarantee you that if i did, i'd completley forget that its there and it would be a waste of money. My old Golf R had vented seats and my wife's GLI has vented seats....and even though it's 100degrees outside...i just completley forget they are there. And on the off chance i do remember...it just never feels like it does anything. But i'm also the guy that thinks 95 degrees is nice and warm...so theres that

If the SRS had ventilated seat options, I might have considered the sofas over the buckets. My wife's Macan GTS has ventilated and I use it all the time during the summer even with AC on.

Once you have ventilated seats, it’s very difficult to not accept having them. With that said, I don’t find the ones in my 718 to be very effective compared to other cars that I have owned.

Has anyone w/ LWBS tried these? If so, what level of firmness and what did you think? They seem like a brilliant idea, but also look a bit tall in the lumbar area.

I had them in my 981 S with leather. I never thought they were very effective. Neither my Spyder nor my 992GTS has vented seats because they both have Alcantara seats. I find Alcantara without ventilation is just as cool if not cooler than leather with ventilation. In short, I thought I’d miss seat ventilation , but I do not. However, if my current cars had leather seats, I probably would.
