Default New Car Play Issue

A new car play issue popped up over the last week for me.

1. Car play started freezing and was not responsive to steering wheel inputs nor touch screen
2. Restart of phone fixed #1
3. Today, could not connect to wireless CarPlay screen says "activate wireless and bluetooth for CarPlay functionality
a. Both wireless and bluetooth showed paired to car
b. Unpaired phone, no joy. Restarted phone no joy
c. Restarted PCM using two fingers upper right corner, no joy
4. No VPNs running
5. On PCM software version 37.17-2417; software shows up to date

Is anyone else having recent issues w/CarPlay?

Yes. On a recent road trip of 1400 miles, carplay stopped recognizing the phone. Phone said it was connected, but car didn't see it. Usually, reboot of phone worked. This only started happening a couple weeks ago. Prior, the phone was recognized quickly and carplay immediately available.

Dealing with this repeating, aggravating issue now. Rebooted phone no luck. Deleted phone from carPlay devices and reconnected, with success 1 out of 2 times. Anyone with a solution ? Thanks
