2021 Cayenne S wheels color / scratch
Hi!
New to this forum - happy owner of two Porsche. Last week I got a flat tire on my 2021 Cayenne S. I want to a small garage nearby where it happened and they scratched my wheel
I think I've got those on my Cayenne: https://tequipment-finder.porsche.co...25893A00454D45
Can anyone confirm that the color is Vesuvius gray based on the picture? I've also added a picture of the scratch. It's not very deep, so I was thinking about removing the wheel and putting it on a flat surface, applying small coats of paint to fill the gap and lightly sand it with 4000 grit paper. What do you think?
Thanks!

^^^Agree with Thomas. I had a couple of my 993 wheels sent out for scratch repair; one of them had a deep scratch. The repair made them like new and as I recall, the price was very reasonable.

One more thing. Regardless of how you fix the scratch, be sure to fix the most glaring fault on your wheel! 😎 Once the crest is properly aligned with the valve, your wheel will be impervious to scratches and your Cayenne will go faster, too!

Three Wheelin'
Ha, yes, that's the secret.
Depending where you live, there are tons of wheel repair places that can fix that tiny scratch and you would never know.
They just fill it with filler, sand it and paint/blend it. They use an air gun/brush so better than you would get paining by hand.
Someone I instructed at a track day told me they paid $125 recently and they went to them.
Dealers also have people, they might share the contact if you ask.

Burning Brakes
i paid 125$ for a bmw wheel in seattle in 2008 to be re furnished. the wheel had a decent bend on the interior side that had to be straightened. wheel came back looking new. and round. had it balanced and it just needed one tiny stick on weight.
