Intercooler Pipe Connector - How to
Hey folks. I am in the midst of a big service interval and exhaust install and could not find any videos or information about how to remove the intercooler pipe connectors. After an exhaustive search I found a great video from a Mini Cooper BMW dude.
Logically you pull up the wire on either side and have each side snap into place in the notch inside the plastic clip. This however doesn’t necessarily disengage the wire elbow that is on the other side of the pipe completely.
The bmw guy pulls that one up first and shifts toward the intercooler slightly, then unlocks the other two sides and slips them into the notches in the plastic.
I know this makes little sense but I’ll provide some PICTs and his video.

I recently replaced mine, they were tricky to get to release but the BMW guy is right in getting one side to release and then the other. Just work the hose back and forth and up and down until it pops free with clips fully out, I also wedged a screw driver up in the clip to hold it far enough back while working the other side.
