Default GT4RS Allocation - Tell me how good it is

Hey Folks,

I have a GT4RS allocation. The dealer's catch is I have to purchase one of the Porsche's e-bike (11K one) + lose about 5K in the trade in value of my current Porsche.

All in all, I am loosing about 16K-20K for getting this GT4RS allocation.

Is it worth it? Is this a good deal?

That doesn't sound bad to me at all. I am expecting a Targa GTS in 2 months, and my ADM was an e-bike as well.

Are the GT4RS prices dropping? Just six months ago, the same dealer asked for a 60K ADM.

im not sure what’s going on with the gt4rs. I remember initially my dealer wanted like $60k adm plus plus plus. But as soon as it came out I noticed a lot of them for sale. Not sure if people were trying to flip them or what. Just did a quick nationwide search on cars.com and there are a lot of them for sale; only more base models than gt4rs. That’s nuts IMO for a halo car that’s being sold for a substantial amount over msrp

although I hate the idea of having these add-ons, I will speak to the car itself. Friend of mine had the coupe and now he has the spyder . He has on several 992s, including the Gt3 touring . He feels the 718 RS is the most balanced and best sounding car he’s ever had.. I’ve been looking at used ones and the markup is crazy. I believe this is one to buy and hold forever.

Yea I want to buy and hold forever for this car. I am just wondering if just maybe, I can get this even closer to MSRP and not pay any major markup (like an e-bike).

Markups are heavily dependent on local market as well. If they went from a 60k ADM to an e-bike (that probably will still hold some value, maybe 10% to 20% of the crazy Porsche MSRP) and a 5k loss on trade-in, then I am doubtful they will be going much lower given the low number of allocations dealers are getting and how they can always sell to the poor people on the west coast where the dealers are still asking ADMs of between 35k and 75k (recent Spyder RS ADM quote a friend got).

So if you want to wait longer, just be ready to have to buy the car later used without being able to spec it and potentially still above market.

I'd see if there are other ways to put that 11K towards something that's relevant to the car, like warranty or maintenance

Or a finance deal that you pay off as soon as they can keep their incentives.

Yes they are dropping like poop from a goose at 10,000 feet! There will be more weakness in the coming months...

I was searching for the last few weeks and have offered 8 dealers 20k over. All of them declined. They wanted 35k+ over and/or for me to buy Taycans. I have a feeling there are plenty of others like me. If I was offered the deal you are now, I would easily take it. Doubt it will come down any further. You could probably sell the e-bike for half if you wanted to and then the ADM becomes 10k.

On value alone yes it's a good price if the deltas is 16-20K. But I would never do that for something I didn't want or use regularly. I sell e-bikes and there are a lot of quality products to choose from for half that price. I saw a 20K allocation on the forum the other day from Peacock I think. No strings. The new round of 2025 cars seem to be starting high on ADM's again. I'm sure dealers will start high just like two years ago. PTS went up 4K and base price went up 8K. A remaining 2024 allocation at 20K to me is pull the trigger time.

walked into 2 dealerships, about an hour-ish from each other the past weekend and both RS lists at both dealers told me they have >20 people on the waitlist for each one and if you were top 5 on the list you had to have your adm deposit in (50k for cayman, 75k for spyder) and to get on the list was 10k deposit (which was then increased once you moved up the list), so yeah...good luck waiting - no relationship pay up or buy a cpo at 50k over that you cant spec - 10-15k adm is a steal; run with it

honestly if you're looking for value the gts 4.0 with a manual seems to be where its at. you can get those at msrp (or close) and there are not than many for sale. i'm still shocked at many gt4RS there are for sale. Many of those have had significant price reductions lately, and with the amount of them for sale i would expect further price reductions. On the other hand there are much less gts 4.0 for sale and even less with the manual transmission.

quick search on the porsche finder website

15 total GTS 4.0 CPO for sale in the nation. 6 of which are manuals
64 GT4RS CPO for sale in the nation..

its insane honestly. i've noticed the same thing with the GT3. tons of them for sale but not many of the S/GTS variants.
