Default Would you still buy an old (new) 2020 4S?

I never owned a Taycan but see old stock 4S are actually really a bargain at the moment. Cars are brand new but have been preregistered, so they come with 1 year Porsche approval warranty.

Would you still recommend someone to get one of these or not?

Car would be used as daily driver especially on rainy days and winter period.

I actually just sold my 992 GT3 and have other toys but somehow want to try out a Taycan.

If you could get it for 55% off MSRP and CPO, sure why not.

Just lease a new one. You buy something like a 911 that holds value.

1 Year warranty doesn't seem like a lot if you are DD'ing the car. I would also lease and not deal with the headaches.

Them's a bargain because ________________________________________(you can complete that sentence)
Hint: 2020 introductory year. Normal growing pains. Introduced in a "hurry" in part for federal renewable energy tax credits. Just last year, Tesla got research and development and federal renewable energy tax credits to the tune of more than $1.6 billion.

In 2024, half the 8-year battery warranty (of a 2020) is gone. In three years, a 2020 will be a disposable item.

It is 40% off on 2022. New battery technology. 55% on a 2020 is not a bargain. IMHO. Also 2024 Taycan Gen II

Thank you all for your valuable feedback. I didn't think of the resell value in a couple of years time. I wanted to try out the porsche ev adventure but indeed if the battery is out of warrantly the car will be worthless.

I'm going stay far away from these deals and just wait for a 992.2 T or GT3 I guess

Yes sir, we are Fidelity retailers, anyone can reach me at the contact information below for coverage lengths, deducible options, pricing and an example contract that explains coverage. Repairs accepted at all Porsche dealerships and licensed repair facilities in the US/Canada.

A 2020 Turbo in the 70K range is a great buy IMO
you still have warranty and can extend.
What else on the used market compares for the price.

I know Fidelity/Highline Autos are site sponsors and are appreciated.

My experience with Fidelity in trying to getting an extended warranty on my Cayenne and Taycan were less than successful. Spectacularly less than fidelity.

There is a saying: you get what you pay for.
Buyer beware with a 2020 Taycan.

why would one be concerned with potential issues if they have a warranty? None of the issues have been catastrophic from 2020 models. Heaters/AC : some hiccups according to my tech advisor very few battery issues.
i happen to know 3 different Taycan 2020 owners who still have their cars with minimal issues over 4 year period. 👍

seems the cars that have the most issues are the lower mile cars with three or four owners
