Selling my 2012 Cayman R that was involved in a track mishap. Runs and drives. Clean title. ~80,000 miles.
This would make a great car for someone wanting to do an interesting build.
Nice options with -
- Rare carbon fiber 997 GT2 sport bucket seats with Alcantara cushions.
- 6-speed manual transmission
- Sport Chrono
Additional modifications -
- Cantrell roll bar
- Cantrell exhaust modification
- GT3 master brake cylinder
- Ohlins suspension
- Tarret sway bars and drop links
- Tarret caliper studs
- Giro Disk front and rear rotors
- Sparco 6 point race harness for driver and passenger - certification still valid
- CSF left, center, and right radiators - originals damaged in track mishap
Crash damage -
- Front and rear bumper covers
- Front bumper
- Dented frunk
- Radiators (replaced)
- Front fenders
- Right door dents
- Right rear quarter panel
- Right rear lower control arm
- Most interior airbags deployed
- Right rear tail light
- Headlights have varying amounts of tire wall
- Various other trim
The car was inspected by Tru-Line. The primary finding is that the right rear lower control arm is bent, and the right rear wheel bearing is damaged.
The car runs and drives, but the steering is off about 2 degrees clockwise because of the bent control arm.
The lightweight wheels seen on the car were not mounted during the crash.
Right headlight was removed to get at fender dents.
It also comes with a stack of receipts and paperwork showing comprehensive maintenance and modification throughout the car's life.

So what seats are you selling it with at the listed selling price?
It's a very confusing ad. I was about ready to fire it off to a buddy but now it looks like it's $47,000 as it sits?
"Price is without the bucket seats. This would make a great car for someone to apply their vision to. Nice options with - - Rare carbon fiber 987/997 sport bucket seats with Alcantara cushions + ~$14,000"
Editing for clarity. Car comes with seats at $39,000.
I don't have any other seats on hand to replace the sport bucket seats with, so it would be seatless if the buyer opted to leave the sport bucket seats out
I don't have any other seats on hand to replace the sport bucket seats with so it would be seatless. I think the car and sport buckets should stay together and am happy to talk pricing to make that happen.
Good luck with the sale. I think it would behoove you to figure out what you actually want for the car as it sits. And would then encourage you to update the price to correctly reflect your asking price.
This would be a great candidate for an ultimate lightweight build, replacing the damaged/missing body panels with carbon etc. if the price is right. What’s the title status? Is it salvaged/totaled per insurance?
@SeanPatrick31@Ksdaoski Yeah I just added more photos to the listing. The dash is good. Steering wheel airbag, door airbags, and seat airbags went off. It's tough to tell just by looking, especially on the driver's side.
Great deal. Damage appears to be overwhelmingly cosmetic, so should not be difficult to repair. Or, just leave the damage and enjoy the hell out of it care free! Title should still be clean as it was involved in an accident that typically would not be covered by insurance.
