Clutch Pedal Hang
So my 95 finally has the clutch pedal hang where it only returns 75%. Is there anything else I should replace on top of the kinematic lever? According to search this is the most current part number: 993.423.519.03

When did you last flush the slave cylinder?

Good tip on the spring!
1. Flush (again, why not).
2. spritz a lube onto every link in the pedal assembly.
3. check if it improves as it may spare you from replacing the Kinematic. Fwiw, mine has 190k miles and I've done the above (2nd clutch slave) and have never replaced the lever. The pedal pops fully up 95% of the time.

Hi Cactus,
According to the 993 factory shop manual - the solution to fix the clutch pedal not fully returning problem is to replace the kinematic lever in the clutch assembly. The newest part number for the kinematic lever is 993.423.519.03, apparently, Porsche had a total of 4 different updates for this lever. Defective part numbers are 993.423.519.00 or 993.423.519.01 (gold color). The improved parts are 993.423.519.02 or 03 (olive color)

I'm always confused on this topic. Is the Kinematic lever a wear item? If not and a clutch pedal doesn't hang for 25 years I'd think that was a decent lever?

If it were me
1. Do a clutch hydraulic flush and bleed.
2. If it doesn’t fix it then pull the pedal cluster out and inspect the master cylinder.
if there is play or the boot is shot, replace it. there are no rebuild kits available.

Did you have the soft line around the slave replaced too? I did all of the things that you did including a failed attempt at having the lever replaced. Porsche manufactured some of these incorrectly and no way to tell if its wrong before installing. I went throug a nightmare and mechanic put original lever back in the assembly. The last things he replaced were the soft line that he said had swelled and became constricting to the fluid and also the slave. That wound up solving the pedal hang for me which was intermittent. I'd probably circle back look to those things first if I were in your boat as its a less expensive approach even though you replaced some of that not that long ago. More power to you if you decide to replace the lever. Good luck and let us know how it goes!
