I am considering doing 35% Xpel ceramic tint on sides/rear and 70% on windshield for my incoming GT silver 911 turbo. Does the glass sunroof also need to be tinted or is it factory tinted? Thx.
Not sure if it's factory tinted, but I didn't tint mine. Even though we get tons of sun where I live, the shade does a great job in preventing most light from coming in.
The glass roof comes tinted from the factory, but I don’t believe it has the same qualities of a ceramic tint, especially with respect glare reduction. I had 20% installed on my glass roof (also did 35% all around and 70% on the windshield) and now rarely ever close the shade, only when parking outside for an extended period of time. Huge difference IMO with tint on the glass roof vs without.
its factory tinted and even after years in FL sun I have no issues. The shade is there too to block all light if you wish. From outside its so dark you can't see a difference to the panels before and after.
