Knowing where you are would help.

In toronto, I recently got $499 admin and $1495 PDI; but there's also freight $2850 and a bunch of other smaller crap. First time I didn't negotiate for a car... weird feeling.

Mind you, this was for the order and confirmed allocation.. so who knows what trickery they may pull when I pickup the car :-)

Thanks. I'm in the GTA also. My dealer is $1995 for "sports cars". Others were $1495 until this week when they all went to $1995. Freight was $2850 like you. I posted because I remembered my Macan being $1395. I didn't know that they charged more for 911's - just asked my dealer about it.

Interesting. This is for a 718 Cayman GTS 4.0 - I mean it's not a 911 but anyone who doesn't call that a "sports car" is crazy IMO.

This has always amazed me really how this totally trumped up charge made it into the auto industry because we as consumers allowed it to happen. This is why it is important to fight any kind of change immediately.

Imagine going to costco to buy a TV ..

Yes that is the price, but you also have to pay us to bring it to the store so you can buy it ... huh ... ?
oh and we have to take a brand new TV that you payed a LOT of money for , and turn it on and inspect it to make sure everything is okay on your brand new TV and make sure the TV works before we give it to you . oh and yes you have to pay for that ...

This will NEVER go away now ...

As most corporations do, it started with a very small amount that they get into the working model that you wont notice , then once its in , they inflate it .... and you are done .

Not unlike the data caps on internet in the 2000s , and more recently the " charges" from dealerships to keep your data safe ..... believe me future generations will hate us for that one .. as we think it is a tiny amount and allow it to happen.

okay Friday Musings over.. carry on

Interesting.

AB last year for 992:

Freight: 1750.00
PDI: 1795.00

No other fees.
