Default M-Engineering: 992 GT3 RS Tuning is here!

M-Engineering has been hard at work to bring the community tuning for the new 992 GT3 RS. As you all may know, the GT3 RS ECU has much deeper encryption and the unlock process to tune these is more difficult than the standard GT3 and GT3 Touring. Adjustments are made to improve the throttle response, remove top speed limiters, adjust air/fuel ratios, and modify ignition timing and much more to improve the overall driving performance of the 4.0L flat-six engine. M-Engineering still utilizes all OEM ECU engine safety strategies.

Maps are available in Stage 1 and Stage 2 (upgraded exhaust/headers) configurations in 91, 93, and 100/MS109 octane fuels. Just let us know what mods you have in the car and what gas you are planning on using.

Stage 1 93: +30whp +25wtq approximately
Stage 2 93: +44whp +29wtq approximately
(pump gas, dependent on quality of fuel and mods)

Example of a 992 GT3RS on our Mainline ProHub Dyno at our South Florida headquarters with a Stage 2 setup running on 93 pump gas.

PLEASE NOTE - FOR THIS PRODUCT WE WILL NEED YOUR ECU SHIPPED TO US. TYPICAL TURNAROUND TIME IS ABOUT 2 WEEKS DUE TO THE SIGNIFICANT UNLOCK PROCESS REQUIRED.

From an old hacker, I'd love to hear about how the encryption on the GT3 RS is different than the GT3.

Without diving into specific details, essentially the "handshake" that needs to happen for the MG1 ECU's are getting trickier and trickier each iteration and require specific unlock procedures that are different between hardware revisions.

Our headquarters is now in South Florida (Pompano Beach).

I don't doubt the RS ECU is a bit trickier to get in to, but 8 grand?? It's $3200 custom tuned in Italy on the dyno including 22% VAT.. (and they write to OBD via a flasher)

Obviously people who don't mind adding a few hundred K to MSRP and then proceed to void the warranty probably aren't too sensitive to the value though
