I do not (it was installed by a prior owner), but I have seen them come up cheap to free periodically in classifieds. A WTB posting might get one in a hurry. You could certainly get a trade (plus cash) for the IPD.

Hi Kevin, how long have you owned this car, and how many other owners (sorry I don't have Carfax free access). I am another Calif guy that would need to get it compliant.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Hey there,
Intersted in your Cayman! You still have it for sale? Live up in Aspen so could come down on the right day and take a look. Would love to talk to you on the phone about it when you have the chance.
My number is 7193372666
Thanks!

Can the inspectors even see this and would recognize it as non-oem? The part still has all the attachments for the smog stuff, which is what they’re really looking for. My smog guy tried looking for the engine, gave up, and just passed my car without visual. I honestly wouldn’t worry about this, but that’s just me.

Hey There - just joined the list and saw your ad. Is your car still available? I live in Miami but will be in Denver next month. The mods listed lead me to think it’s been on the track, is that true? Are there and other suspension or exhaust mods?
I’m looking for a great daily/once a month track car.
thanks!

I'm sorry for the long delay, I didn't realize I wasn't getting new post alerts on my own for-sale listing.
It looks like I'm the fourth registered owner, but two in 2009/10 were so close they might be the same person. I'll keep my eyes peeled for a take-off original intake. I didn't realize this was an issue in CA but they pop up for a couple hundred dollars periodically so I'll grab one if I see it. I suspect it would be easy to arrange a trade for the IPD as they're over $1k. I've never been through a CA emissions inspection, but I'd be impressed if they broke out the trim removal tool and large torx socket to access the top of a 987 engine bay!

Where in Denver are you? Moved away 1.5 years ago... we really miss Wash Park.
Likely will be up in Denver in mid-July if it's still available then. Have been looking for a 987.2 for a while. You've got some tasteful mods on this one.

This is a very good car. Somewhat rare to find a 987.2 in manual and this car has solid options including the rare sport seats. Plus some great mods. The 987 is such a value in today’s Porsche lineup. Someone is going to get a great car. GLWS!
