Default Ventilated Seats Not Working

Hello All,

I see many posts for people having issues with both the heat and vent on seats not working. My heat is currently working on all seats. The ventilation feature stopped working on both front seats.
Besides checking the fuse, does anyone have experience with just the ventilation not working in both seats?

Thanks,

What is your ambient and outside temperature? When I picked up my Cayenne last winter I thought the Ventilated seats were broken because they wouldn't stay on. They started working when the outside temps were in the 50's/60's. It turns out, there's a sensor on your dash that tracks the temperature. If it's too cold, the ventilation won't stay on. German engineers trying to figure out what's best for your backside.

Oh wow, yeah, I live in Seattle and the temps have just dropped in the last week... That would explain it...
Thanks!

It also might be based on inside vehicle temps and your temperature sensor is right there on the dash, right side of steering wheel, little dot. Hit it with a hair dryer and see if the AC seats come on.

That's pretty cool...didn't know what it was.

I wonder if just sticking your thumb on it for a minute might do the job. Talking the wife out of her hair dryer is a process...

Thanks for the tip. I will try that this weekend and report back.

apologies for bumping an old thread, but wanted to thank you for this. Rubbed my thumb on the little dot for a bit and got my vented seats working again.
