most of the issue have been found and corrected with recalls - the 2010 is a very good car and the V8 incredible

Thanks! This one has 4 exhaust pipes in rear but does not have the sport exhaust button on console, wondering if that means after market exhaust was installed? I was thinking the regular exhaust just had 2 pipes coming out, one each side.

i thought it was just the shape of the pipes that where different from the sport exhaust

I wonder how I can know if its using oil before I buy it? It has 35,000 miles which may be good and bad, not enough use possibly. Also the owner says it has never had any front end suspension work done, which I have read at about 30k it will need upper/lower and bushings, is that what you found? Also no sports chrono, no PASM, not exactly what I want, but seems like nice car.

the front end issues can develop early or late - my car has 58k miles and is just developing a bit of creak on cold days.... The sport plus button can be added later - Sport Plus really awakens the V8 beast! a must if you like to carve twisty roads quickly
the Oil consumption would be a tough one if the owner was honest and upfront

I have a 2010 4S with 58K on the clock, it uses on average 1L every 1500mi. From what I understand the engine was designed that way. Great car, I love it. Sport + is a must.

mine uses 1l every 1800km so close to what pencarrow says, just keep in mind yours may have that kind of oil consumption or it could be better.
yes there is the crunching sound from the front suspension when going over speedbumps, more pronounced in cold weather
in terms of reliability mine has been quite good, in a few years havent had any major problems

I've owned my 2010 since new and here are my issues: The first was a computer barf that was cure by a reprogramming, second issue was suspension compressor failure after 57,000 miles. Oil consumption not a problem 1 qrt added in 6,000 miles, oil analyzed every change with negligible wear signs using recommended Mobil 1, 0w40 which has proper additives for this engine. Battery replaced early on at around 15,000 miles, not replaced since using aftermarket replacement.
The good points; my son and I did an acceleration test early on and it was mindboggling. Using a calibrated GoPro did 0-60 with standard PDK in 4.3 sec. Doing a calculation for Hp, found that the v8 was putting out about 450 hp which is consistent with Porsche being pessimistic about outputs. The mileage on highway trips averages 28-32 mpg !

Bought my 2010 4S 4 months ago with 24000 miles. I have had some of the same reactions to it as stated by others here. Regarding the PDK it is a little clunky but I have a 09 997.2 with PDK and it's the same. So no surprise or worry. I love the car and the ride, the look, the quality, the interior is awesome, the leather is top quality and looks great. If I were to offer my suggest I would say don't overthink the things that aren't deal breakers like sport exhaust. Mine doesn't have it and I don't care. The car is spectacular. Go for it and don't be over analytical. You won't be disappointed.
