Default To tint or not to tint

Now that the car is here...I'm trying to decide if I want to tint the windows. I have tinted pretty much every car I've ever had and love it. I don't typically go too dark. Just like the clean smoked looks.

Any thoughts on if I should tint this one or not. I know it will look great but on the other had since this is an "older" car is it cooler to keep it more original looking?

Thoughts?

Ive been against any tint all my life, but I bought my seal grey 996 with rear quarters and back window already lightly tinted and I actually think it looks nicer than seal grey without. Do what you wish, it's your car.

Drive it around without tint for a while, you might make a decision with that black interior sizzling hot when you get in after its been sitting in the sun for a while

I’m going to tint. Geography plays a big part IMO and if you live in TX/AZ/NV etc, it’s a must. While I like the look of a dark tint, I’ll go lighter like my others. Today’s films keep the same amount of rays out. It’s just aesthetics at this juncture.

Indeed. I went for years without tint on my car and I lived in Texas at the time. Not only does the UV fade leather, it fades the carpet as well. Look at post #32 in this link. I took a photo of my carpet before and after it was dyed back to it's original color. All my cars have some degree of tint currently.

I was going to pop in to add my vote for "no tint", but now you guys have me wanting to get tinted.

I don't like any reduced visibility at night, but I suppose if it's a light enough film, it's not really an issue.
