Default Recaro Pole Position Install

I just bought a set of pole positions and wanted to know how easy it is to install. They come with standard steel side mounts and I bought Recaro sliders. Any tips on installing?

I want to eventually install 4/5 point harness but for now I want to use the oem belts. Do I need extra hardware to install the seat belt receptacle, or can I use one of the mounting holes in the side mount or drill an extra hole? If I mount to the side mount will the receptacle move with the seat or is the side mount fixed to the car? From my searches, it looks like most use a separate L plate but this also seems to come with challenges.

Any help would be great, thanks!

I have the same setup, pretty straight forward - unbolt your seats and unplug the power and the seatbelt wires. The Recaro sliders only match up with 4 holes, not 6 so drilling the 2 extra holes is a good idea.

I used the OEM RS seatbelt adapter: https://www.pelicanparts.com/catalog...INTSTS_pg1.htm

I believe Brey Krause also makes one, but I like the OEM factor whenever possible.

Search here for some posts about them (you can filter on me + words). I achieved it by simply using the mounts on the sliders, but that doesn't seem to exist on all the official Recaro sliders/floor mounts.

Thanks all, I’m seriously convinced that Rennlist is one of the best resources on the internet!

Would it be a bad idea to drill into the Recaro steel side mounts then bolt the stock seat belt receptacles directly to the side mounts?

Spyerx, I’ve spent the last hour (of my work day) scrolling through your build page...really like your attention to detail. I know a few shops in town that could learn a lot from you!

It would probably be ok but. I think you’ll be better served using the correct part so the load is not on the side mount for the belt.

By by the way. Seat installs are not hard really. But. There are so many small parts and bits it’s like assembling the millennial falcon LEGO with a pile of pieces and no instructions.

drilling and lots of bolts and washers to get it right.

ya my detail attention is a blessing and a curse. lol

Agree on Rennlist. And yes, mounting seat belt receptacles to your side mounts is a bad idea. You can use the RS Support Brackets or the Brey Krause R 9005 harness mounting kit

I used rs. But. I have purchased several things from bk and their quality is outstanding. I wouldn’t hesitate to use

Spyerx, I was looking at your hardware list and decided to order from McMaster but a little overwhelmed by the options! Any chance you have part numbers?
