Default Easy video for HPDE

I own a Z06 and a GT3 both of which share equal track time. The Corvette has the PDR system which is easy to use and great. I am searching for something simple to mount in the GT3 for video and basic info such as track overlay and speed. I have tried the iPhone with Harry’s lap timer and track addict apps but the video is terrible. It jiggles and bounces to the point that it’s hard to watch. I have tried numerous mounts and settings which don’t make much difference. I have an older GoPro which is fine for video but it doesn’t provide overlays.

i would prefer something that is easily removable and fairly plug and play.

I dunno. Just a regular RAM mount on the windshield with a suction cup. Yeah it's a bit jiggly but I'm not producing an episode of Top Gear lol

The jiggly picture is from the new iPhone Optical Image Stabilization - older ones don’t do that

You can disable it. At least in the app you can. Seems to help a bit.

No, it’s a mechanical feature. Camera has a spring suspension - only way to disable is with a magnet behind the lens that fixes its position. Haven’t tried yet...

I don't know anything about that. But in the app there are two toggles. One for Autofocus and one for optical image stabilization of the phone. If there is a hardware/mechanical stabilizer in the lens, that's another story.

Which app? Track addict or the Porsche app? I have a 991.1 so not compatible with the Porsche app

How old? Maybe it’s worth buying an older iPhone

That is better. Did you change any settings or just stay on the smooth sections of track?

That one isn't me. Comment in YT says it's a GoPro with the Porsche app data overlaid.
