Default Trade up - kind of

Went to lunch today and drove by a little luxury lot that has a twin to my car - Arctic Silver over black, except this one is a turbo and mine a GTS. Mine has 175k miles and the turbo 115. Both 2008 cars. The turbo also has KESSY and Pano roof, mine has neither. It was priced fairly low at $15,000. Interesting thought to see if I could trade my car and some cash for the upgrade.

One thing I noticed was that the center console controls for ride settings was silver, whereas mine are black. I thought one color indicates the existence of some suspension option

Ran it through PCarfinder
https://pcarfinder.com/ID/9F15E3

It has been bought and sold a number of times in the last 8 months

The silver center console is this option...

Very desirable option, according to those who have it.

Silver control controls means the car has PDCC adaptive suspension option.

Sounds like a loaded car. Might want to read up on cylinder scoring threads on here because it seems like the 2008s were the worst for it. Barely any records of it happening to an 09 or 10.

I have been trying to decide on 957 GTS vs Turbo as an upgrade to my 06 CTTS myself. I am personally looking for a 09 or 10 due to the lack of scoring issues and PCM 3.0 Touchscreen so I wouldn't have to upgrade the radio.

Pano roof has caused a lot of people problems.
Expensive problems.

I would stay away from it myself.
Lots of info if you take some time to search it out.

Copy that. Had one and it was a PITA. They are plagued by a whole host of issues including spontaneous implosion. My recommendation if you buy it is to never operate the roof.

I love the Pano roof and use it all the time. Lubricate the tracks with a greaseless Teflon based spray lube (so it doesn't attract dirt) and the seals with Gummi Pflege once a year so the motors don't work hard to move it. I believe excessive load from drag is what creates all the issues.

BTW, PDCC is awesome. Definitely drive that car to experience the turbo and PDCC but do your due diligence before committing to buy it.

The phrase "bought and sold several times in the last 8 months" doesn't bother ANYBODY??????

Sounds like there's a problem that takes each owner a month or two to figure out before they dump the vehicle as quickly as possible to avoid an even bigger loss. I would run far away.

The car looks like it was originally from Texas and is now in Indiana. Similar cars (age, miles) go for mid 20s and this one is listed at a dealership for $15. There is definitely something going on.

Here is the car on Cars.com
