Default Green wire to MSD

I’ve posted about this before but I’m running a different set up now. I have an MSD 6AL-2 ignition and I need to know what trigger output the distributor is. I’m assuming it sends it through the green wire. I don’t think there is a 14 pin connector anymore for it to go in. Thanks in advance!

The distributor is a hall effect sensor. The green wire outputs to a separate connector away from the 14 pin. It's a standard 2 pin amp connector near the 14 pin harness.

It sends out a square wave signal to activate the ignition module.

Personally I would reuse the original ignition module as it is bullet proof and the msd boxes have a hit and miss history when it comes to reliability. But if you're tuning go for it.

So so is one of the connectors in the pin connector a ground? If there is 2 connectors, what is each responsible for going to the ignition module?

Don't know what year your car is but here's how my MSD Street Fire (same wiring as 6AL-2) is connected on my 1980 S.

Green wire to MSD.
