Default New to me 996

I just picked up a really nice 2002 996 manual coupe. Seal gray over graphite gray, IMS/RMS/clutch all recently done. 49k miles. I bought it replace my recently sold 2006 997 Carrera S. I honestly just like the 996 better than the 997 having owned both over the years. Yes the 997 had better torque and looked pretty sweet but a well set up 996 drives so damn well. My only gripe is the 993/early 996 turbo look wheels. I would like to get a nice set of MY02/Carrera II wheels (which it was originally delivered with according to the window sticker). If anyone has a set please PM me.

Good looking 996. I like your 964 in your avatar too. I'm still kicking myself for selling mine years ago.

Nice. I’ve got the same wheels on my ‘04. I’ll change them out eventually. Not sure to what...

Welcome and your car looks amazing! Best exterior color IMO. Any interior pictures?

Me too. I have owned 3 964s and a 993 and sold them all before the values skyrocketed!

Nice.

Welcome to the club.

I have 4 sets of wheels for my 996.

None of them T Twists.

You can pick up a nice set of P wheels for your 996 under 1k all day long. If you do go larger size to fill out fenders.

Gray is not my favorite interior color (would prefer black) but I do like the black carpet and lower door panels which tones the gray down a bit.

Thanks. Any leads on wheels would be appreciated! I definitely want to stick with 18s though.

Great looking car! Congrats!

I think a set of MY02 lightweight wheels would look great on your car. Good luck with the search!

Yes. 18s forsure but you can go bigger width. 6GT3 size best for our narrow body cars. Sport II are fantastic with spacers. PCA.org classifieds good place to shop as is RL.

Looks like a great car, love that color. My 4S has that same deviated gray/black interior w/o the black parking brake and shifter. Had been thinking of making that exact change and helps to see a pic. Enjoy!!
