Hi All,
Dealership called to let me know that the Varta battery failed and replacement was $980. Porsche southwest Houston.
I find this quite high ...
Any of you know a replacement battery for SE Hybrid 2014 Varta or similar?
My car is CPO but dealership says it is not covered.
Let me know

$1000 bucks for the general battery, or the main electric batter for the hybrid part of the powerplant? I ask that not know if they are even separated in the hybrid.

If the main powertrain batter failed and that's all they want, that seems like a bargain. For just a battery not so much.

Had to look it up, VARTA is a brand of batteries, so sounds like they want $1K to replace the normal battery - which is insanely over priced

Yes, this is $1,000 for the conventional battery NOT the Hybrid pack.
Crazy that they charge that much.
Anyone here in the same situation...???

Must be the normal 12v battery. That's an insane price.

My biz partner had the hybrid battery changed on his old SEH under warranty, they said its made by Bosch. The dealer said it would be GBP20k !
Unless they are able to replace individual cells, or a bank of ten cells these days ?

Hmm. The Varta website dealer-locator does NOT show any retailers in the US for passenger vehicle batteries. But the car model selector does allow you to select the Panamera in all available engine trims. Just not in the US.

The battery in my 4S packed it in and I replaced it with an AGM battery bought in "batteries+bulbs"...price was around $220 and I replaced it myself using one of the emergency lithium battery booster packs on the jumper terminals under the hood !

Question, did the error (park vehicle safely) disappeared after replacing the battery? How much did you end up spending on the battery?

Just got the same message on my 14 panamera. How did you solve this. Just replaced the 12v battery or was it something else. Any help will be appreciated. Dealer here in mexico has almost no experience with hybrids.
I replaced my 12v battery with a new one it was not varta and I was hopping that could be the cause for the park safely thing, I'm just curious how you fixed it.
