What Spacers are you running?
I'm interested in improving the "stance" of my 997.2 C2 and have read that people tend to get spacers (7mm front/15mm rear). I've also read that as people decrease the ride height, the spacers or offset needed has to be increased even further... which I don't understand but can accept since I'm clueless on this piece.
Just wondering if you have got spacers, which spacers (brand and size) are you running, are you at regular ride height or lowered xx mm or inches, and do you have a narrow or wide body 997?
Thanks in advance for the info.

15mm (ECS) front and back. 997.1 C2S. Not lowered. The stance is greatly improved, and the rears are absolutely perfect. The fronts look better but now sit just a bit to wide for my taste, I will move down in size up front at some point.

997.2 c2s, stock ride height.
5mm front, 10mm rear from ecstuning.
I can highly recommend this setup if you want to push the wheels out a little, but are afraid of going too far. It definitely looks better than stock, and is actually subtle enough that most people would think it is stock.
Spacers are like breast enlargements. Done right the observer must wonder at the natural perfection. When taken too far everyone knows they're fake.

Some say that spacers put undue stress on suspension components and cause them to wear out / fail faster than normal. Additionally may cause vibrations in the cabin at certain rpm's. Any truth to this regards to spacers on a 997 ?

I'm no expert, but the factory provides spacers so they can't be too bad. I would think, like anything, too much and you can have a problem. I happen to have 15 on back and 12 up front.

Adaptec Design X 7mm up front (highly recommend this company - plus they give a great Rennlist discount) and Porsche factory 17mm rear.
C4S lowered (H&R) Carrera sport wheels

Can also switch to 4 or 4s rear wheels. They add in 16mm in the back. Fronts the same. What I did on my 997.1 S when I had it. Made the rear one and flush. Didnt want a large spacer in the back. Up front went with 5mm.

RSS 15mm spacers all around on EIBACH Pro Kit makes the car look how it should have from the factory IMO. I also have 305s in the rear FYI. I mainly felt 7mm in front wasn't enough when the car is lowered. 15mm seems solid when lowered.

Interesting that you could utilize 15mm spacers all around when lowered. I would have thought that you would still need larger spacers in the back. Did you notice when lowering the car that the front gets more inset than the rear or is it that the front is flush where the rear is still inset?

the wheels do gain some camber when lowered. The 305s + 15mm spacers are as far as I would want to go personally. With coilovers and etc. you could get weird but at that point, I would just recommend getting wheels in the specs you really want.

Seems like I'm going to go with 7/15 spacers for now as it's the common response I have researched and right in the middle of the responses in this thread. Don't think I'm going to lower it at this point and even if I do, it sounds like keeping them might be fine for a flush look anyway.
Anyone heard of StanceMagic or had experience with their spacers?

I'm running the 7/15 from that company, no issues at all and the included lugs torqued fine. Highly recommend getting some bolt hangers (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1), I installed the spacers without it and it was a huge pain in the ***.

Base Carrera, lowered with Eibach springs. ECS 7/15 spacers... wish I'd taken the advice to go a bit wider up front, but a nice improvement over the stock configuration of the non-S car.
