Default Chrome or black PSE tips

Car came with chrome, but there is no chrome on the car other then the headlight washers which I will change out some day. The black tips are a bit less noticeable or pronounced vs chrome. Anyhow, just wanted to get some thoughts here.

thanks

here is a photo at the dealership.

By coincidence, member Bob Z. may just have the thing for you then. See his black PSE tips listed for sale at https://rennlist.com/forums/market/1129137. There are several photos and the car is the same color as yours.

Yep, I have emailed him, just wanted to get thoughts from the HIVE on this. I go back and forth on this, lol. I know it’s my car, just thought I would get some feedback.

I have black tips on a black C2. I think they look great. But I also think your chrome ones look great. Not sure one can go wrong, either way.

God bless,
TT

I guess the question should be is, do you want to say, "hey, look at these killer PSE center pipes!!" or " I know you can't see me but doesn't it sound fricken killer !!"

I know I am biased but chrome tips stick out, and not in a good way, especially when the rear valance is black. I like round tips; however, the only negative on these cars is that the opening is oval so the stock tips look like a better fit, and black chrome really looks sharp, especially with a gloss black license plate frame (for $9.99 on eBay!).

My new thing is that if I'm on the fence about something like this, I don't do it. If it comes back to bug me again, then I might pull the trigger.

I'm the opposite: if I notice something on the car that bugs me or just does not seem right it will continue to bug me every time I see the car, until I resolve it of course!

I’d get the black not only because it matches the rest of the rear better, but when it gets dirty, it’s harder to see the contrast. The chrome will turn partially black. Of course you can clean it.

Hate to throw another choice in here but I got the brushed look with my Soul tips and love them. I was going back and forth as well and brushed was a great reduced bling look from chrome.

Love the chrome tips. Lots of cars have just the exhaust tips in chrome so it does not look out of place and actually draws a small bit of attention to the double center exit.

My chrome tips look like crap. They are pitted on the edges and won’t clean up. Soon to be replaced with carbon fiber or ceramic black.

I would want to match my lettering personally. Black lettering = black pipes.......chrome lettering = chrome pipes.

I had chrome and went to black. Happy with my choice, but keep in mind that the black makes them kind of disappear on the rear end.

Chrome turns to black after usage...you can clean them to get them shiny again though.
