New owner of 997.2 Help on scanner?
If I am changing my own oil on a 107K 997.2 PDK Is it advised to get a Durametric or Icar or other code scanner for Happy miles ahead .
Bought the car in Oregon with 105780 on the clock . Previous owner had last service at 105K . Then had the PPI done at Sunset where the plugs , Drive belt and PDK clutch oil was done. New tires and align etc with Conti DWS 06 All season tires.
Car is in top shape with all service done as required. 2nd owner put @ 65 K on the clock in 4.5 years but also had all maintenance done . I am going to do the 100 mile flushing out the oil that has 2300 on it with the BR30 that Jake recommends . The car has had mostly Mobil 1 then Motul , then Total 5/40 . . With all the different oils best to clean it out then go to the Driven DI 40 .
Thought it would be best with the best oil for DFI and winter fuels etc . .
Which scanner should I get to clear oil codes and light repairs ?

I ordered the iCarsoft POR-II and it cleared all service reminders.
My local dealer cleared it a few times for free but didn't want to drive there anymore. It literally took my service manager 2 minutes so don't let anyone charge you more than $20.

Advanced
Welcome to 997 club.
iCarsoft POR-II has older firmware version and POR V2.0 has newer firmware version. I updated the latest firmware for my old iCarsoft POR-II and it shows support for many newer Porche models. Not sure what added new functions for V2. Better buy newer one. Both will clear all warning.
Duramertric Pro can program more than iCarsoft. If you're not sure what programming you want to do, better buy the $145 iCarsoft for now and push the limit. Good luck.

I have the Durametric.... While I have not compared it to others, it appears to provide good descriptions of the codes beyond a short definition and can record live values for a more sophisticated diagnosis of issues. It can also make a few changes to the car's programming but this is limited in the 997.2. If you do decide to go Durametric, I recommend the cheaper enthusiast version. I have the Pro version, and while I like being popular at meet ups resetting other's codes, it is a waste for a 997.2.
