My friend's car (2019 GT3RS with weissach package NO mag wheels) arrived at the port yesterday in Rhode Island USA. As soon as it arrived it got put on "Production Hold" till April!!!! The dealer doesn't have any information as to why yet. Anyone else hear of anything? thanks in advance.

I don't know the ship name. My dealer was speculating that it might have something to do with the carbon hoods on the weissach package cars. The weissach package cars were being shipped in the bast with a temp hood and he thinks that they are now being shipped with no hood and waiting at the port for the carbon hoods. Just a theory. I'll update as soon as I have a definite answer from Porsche.

I was told yesterday all GT cars not on a carrier (truck) will be held at port till 2019 for sales reasons.

Nope. Just like mine but not the exact car. Mine is wrapped in plastic and stuck in Jacksonville Port.

My MB WP GT3RS was delayed yesterday from 2/1 deliver to 3/8 delivery. It was V300 last week, but now in customization. Original delivery date for me was 12/22. Yes, it is getting frustrating. I asked yesterday if it is delayed until March, can you delay until April and do ED now? Told no.

My 2019 WP GT3RS with exposed Carbon hood arrived last week, and it is in my garage. No idea which ship brought it here.

Rumor is that it's just holding cars till 2019 to manage sales numbers.

That would make sense but literally a boat full of Audi's and Porsche's will miss the delivery window already due to mechanical issue on boat. I'd imagine it's 1000 cars considering I was due 8-20 cars on that ship and my stores are small.
